  1. If the selection border is not drawn automatically

  3. The HP PictureScan software draws a selection border around each picture that it finds on the scanner glass during the preview scan, up to five pictures.  If the software finds more than five pictures on the scanner glass, no selection borders will be drawn but you can draw one yourself.  If no selection border exists when you click Accept, the entire scanner glass is scanned during the final scan.  If the selection border is missing, try the following.

  6. >  If the border appears to be missing, look around the outer edge of the preview area to see if a selection border exists.  When located at the edge, the selection border may just be difficult to see.  If the border is there, you can adjust the size of the border by using the Marquee tool.  See How to Select Part of a Page or Picture.
